The QCH is located at 3045 Baseline Road in Nepean. Understanding the floor plan helps us get your flowers to the correct department efficiently.
Key Floor Guide:
• Level 1 (Main Floor): This is the main entry point for the hospital. It houses the main lobby, Emergency, and Diagnostic Imaging. Most flower deliveries are routed through the main information desk here.
• Level 2: Primarily surgical suites and specialized clinics.
• Levels 3 & 4: These floors contain the majority of the Inpatient Units (Medicine, Surgery, and Rehabilitation).
• Childbirth Centre: If you are sending "New Baby" flowers, knowing if the recipient is in the labour ward or the postpartum unit is very helpful for our delivery team.
Note on Restricted Areas: Please be aware that most hospitals, including QCH, generally do not allow flower deliveries to the ICU (Intensive Care Unit) or CCU (Coronary Care Unit) due to patient sensitivities and medical equipment space constraints.
Before You Order: Information We Need
To make your online ordering experience at Sandy's Flowers & More as smooth as possible, please have the following details ready before you checkout:
1. Recipient’s Full Legal Name
Hospitals cannot release room numbers or confirm a patient’s presence without a full legal name. Avoid using nicknames to prevent any "Patient Not Found" delays.
2. Unit and Room Number
While we can often verify this at the front desk, having the specific Unit (e.g., "Medicine A") and Room Number ensures the flowers aren't delayed if a patient is moved between units.
3. A Contact Phone Number
Please provide a phone number for the recipient or a family member currently at the hospital. This allows us to coordinate if the patient is being discharged earlier than expected.
4. Billing vs. Delivery Address
Our system requires accurate billing details for payment security.
• Important: At checkout, remember to uncheck the "Same as Delivery" box. You will enter your own home or business address for the billing portion and the hospital address for the delivery.
5. Special Requests (Scent-Free)
Hospitals are shared environments. If you require a scent-free arrangement (using blooms like irises or tulips rather than highly scented lilies), please use the "Additional Request" text box on our product pages.
6. Your Card Message
Our system will automatically adjust the font size to fit your personal message on our signature cards, so you can express your well wishes perfectly.
